On the morning of February 16 (i.e. January 7), in Duy Tien town, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province organized the Doi Son Xuan Giap Thin Festival 2024.

This is a traditional festival to plow the fields and pray for a year of favorable rains and winds and lush crops. Also here in 987, King Le Dai Hanh returned to the land of Doi mountain, Chau River initiated and personally plowed the field during the ceremony of going down to the field at the beginning of the year.

The festival was then handed down and considered as a "National Holiday", a great field festival of our people, with humanistic meaning, encouraging people to work and produce. Since 2009, the festival has been restored and held annually on a provincial scale.

The festival begins with a procession. After the worship ceremony of Shen Nong, praying for a new year of favorable rain and wind, a good harvest is the opening drum performance performed by the female drum team of Doi Tam village combined with dragon dance. The ceremony recreates the scene of King Le Dai Hanh going down to the ploughed field by village elders, followed by village women to sow seeds.

Previously, on January 5th and 6th, the Festival Organizing Committee organized ceremonies such as: Fox Yen Ceremony, Water Procession to Dan Sacrifice, Sai Tinh Ceremony, Prayer Ceremony on Doi Son Pagoda ... This year, the buffalo decoration contest attracted 20 artists, groups of artists from many provinces and cities in the region and members of the Literature and Arts Association of Ha Nam province.
