Nguyen Khuyen was born on February 15, 1835, died on February 5, 1909 (the full moon day of the first month of the year of the Rooster). He passed Hoang Giap - Dinh Nguyen, ranked first in 3 departments: Huong exam, Hoi exam, Dinh exam, so he was called "Tam Nguyen Yen Do". As a patriotic Confucian, he hoped to bring knowledge to support the king and help the country. , helped the people, but his will, ideals, aspirations, and wishes did not meet the times and did not come true. He rejected the false glory that the feudal colonialists wanted to assign with an attitude of non-cooperation. , returned to Bui garden to hide his elegant personality and pure soul.
