Ha Nam, a province located at the southern gateway of Hanoi, has just been nominated at the 31st World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania.

Specifically, Ha Nam is nominated in two important categories: Asia's Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2024 and Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination 2024. Currently, the voting portal is open at www.worldtravelawards.com.

The WTA Awards, dubbed the Oscars of the world tourism industry, are one of the most prestigious awards in the industry, established in 1993 to recognise, reward and honour the best in the global tourism industry.

In 2023, Ha Nam surpassed many strong competitors to be honored as the “World’s Leading Local Cultural Destination”. Ha Nam is famous for its rich tourism potential, from spiritual, cultural, ecological to culinary tourism, with many historical relics and diverse and unique landscapes.

Some of the prominent destinations in Ha Nam that attract a large number of tourists include Tam Chuc Spiritual Scenic Complex, Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda, Ba Danh Pagoda, Long Doi Son Pagoda, and So Kien Basilica.

In addition, Ha Nam also has many other scenic spots such as Ba Kien's house - the prototype of Vu Dai village, Kem Trong tourist area, Tran Thuong temple, Vu Dai fish cooking village, Doi Tam drum village, Nha Xa silk weaving village, and Truc Temple - Ngu Dong Son tourist area.

The Sun Urban City Ha Nam "City of the Times" project, with an area of ​​up to 200 hectares, includes landscape facilities such as the 19.37-hectare Sun World Park, a 36.7-hectare cultural park, a 13-hectare ecological park, a 22-hectare sports park, and an 8.9-hectare festival park.
