Ms. Viet Dung and 40 sisters went from Dong Trieu, Quang Ninh province to Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda at 8:30 am. This is the second time Ms. Dung and her colleagues have visited and worshiped Buddha at the temple. Ms. Dung was excited: "Today is the first day of the second lunar month. We left very early to come here to worship and visit the pagoda. Even though we've already gone, the scenery and people here attracted us so we definitely came back, and will definitely come back many times. This is an ancient temple. Coming here in this warm, dusty spring weather, I really feel relaxed. I think the trip gave us a lot of energy to return to our busy lives, work more effectively and optimistically."

Cars are parked more than 2km from the temple, visitors travel to the temple by motorbike taxi or on foot. Each motorbike taxi costs 10,000 VND. Mr. Tran Quoc Trong, a tourist from Tuyen Quang province said: "I have never really seen any tourist destination with costs as cheap and low as here. The relic site does not collect any mandatory coins. Tourists enter the temple to worship Buddha, bringing their sincere hearts and wishes. Whoever donates money for oil lamps or donates as much as they want to the temple is fully recorded by the temple management board!

The number of visitors coming to the temple increases every day on the first day of the second lunar month.

According to Major Pham Chi Cong, Head of the Security Team, Thanh Liem District Police, to ensure safety and order for tourists to visit and admire the pagoda, the police force coordinates closely. With local authorities, the monument management board organizes traffic flow, sets up security checkpoints on the roads leading to the temple to guide visitors, and promptly handle arising situations. From the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin until now, the number of tourists from everywhere coming to the temple is very large. Especially on holidays, the number of visitors reaches tens of thousands of people every day.  

Although the roads to the temple are not wide and visitors have to stop at a distance, traffic coordination is quite good. Thousands of motorbike taxi drivers are local people, or come from Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Thai Binh, and Nam Dinh provinces, ready to serve tourists at a suitable price of 10,000 VND/trip from outside the car parking lot. temple gate.

Mr. Trinh Quang Liem, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi shared: I think it is a very reasonable price. We passed through a newly planted rice field, starting to turn green, feeling like we were returning to our childhood. We escaped a long time ago, are now old and far from home, so immersing ourselves in this space really feels like life is so peaceful!

In the area of ​​Ksitigarbha Phi Lai Pagoda, there are 15 security guards posted at entry and exit points to guide visitors and remind people who come to the pagoda without maintaining order and causing noise. However, as has become a habit, visitors to the temple look at each other to behave around them. There was no jostling or pushing. Everyone walked together in order and was very satisfied.   

On the first day of the second month of Giap Thin year, Lunar New Year has been a month away, but spring is still there, so beautiful pagodas like Ksitigarbha Phi Lai, Cay Thi Pagoda, Phat Quang Pagoda, Ninh Tao Pagoda... in Thanh Hoa Liem is still an attractive destination for tourists. Mr. Le Van Phan, from Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province and his family came to the temple this morning (February 1) and happily said: "Coming here is called going to the temple! I just hope that temples in our country will manage and organize activities like this so that people can express their hearts to the sacred, heaven and earth; to love our country and our people more and unite and stick together."

Dia Tang Pagoda is located next to the deep green Khe Non mountain range - a small mountain range north of the Day River, folk name is Dung pagoda, in Ninh Trung village, Liem Son commune, Thanh Liem district.

According to legend, the pagoda dates back to the early 10th century, was once the residence of King Tran Nghe Tong, and was the prayer destination of King Tu Duc. The name of the pagoda today was given by King Tu Duc with a profound meaning of the pagoda during the time of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

According to the Ha Nam Provincial Museum, in the field, traces of the pagoda and towers of the past no longer exist. Perhaps they are just physical traces, that is, relics that have passed through time. It is washed away by natural rain and floods into small streams, then accumulates in low-lying areas.
