The Ha Nam Tourism Investment Promotion Conference with the theme "Ha Nam - Connecting Journey" is one of the typical events of the Ha Nam Culture - Tourism Week in 2024. This is an opportunity for Ha Nam to continue to orient tourism development to become an important economic sector of the province, enhance the brand and position of "The world's leading local cultural destination" and "Asia's leading emerging tourist destination"; promote and introduce the province's potential and strengths, preferential policies, and attract investment; at the same time, expand tourism development links, creating favorable opportunities for tourism businesses to learn, expand markets, build attractive tours and routes to introduce to tourists. The event attracted over 800 delegates who are experts, managers, and domestic and international tourism businesses. Here, many opinions, proposals, and suggestions were made to develop Ha Nam tourism.

At the conference, delegates commented that Ha Nam has many advantages in tourism but tourism development is not yet commensurate with its potential. Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Le Phuc said that Ha Nam has rich potential in natural resources, cultural heritage, as well as a system of unique ecological and spiritual tourism areas, and is one of the localities with great opportunities to develop the tourism industry. Ha Nam also has a strategic geographical location, located on key traffic routes and near major economic centers such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Hai Phong, creating favorable conditions for connecting and developing inter-regional tourism products. Therefore, Ha Nam is emerging as an attractive investment destination, promising to bring many long-term development potentials.
To develop Ha Nam tourism sustainably, the Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism proposed many solutions. Accordingly, the province needs to strengthen promotion, especially focusing on promotion on digital platforms; organize tourism promotion with focus, key points, in line with the orientation of product development and tourism brands. In addition to implementing policies to encourage investment in tourism and infrastructure, Ha Nam needs to continue to promote its strengths, focus on developing unique tourism products associated with environmental protection, preserving traditional cultural values. In particular, improve service quality, create impressive experiences for tourists; pay attention to developing smart tourism and exploiting creative tourism models, combining cultural heritage and digital technology...
Looking at local cultural resources to promote tourism development, many experts believe that Ha Nam needs to further raise awareness of preserving and promoting cultural values to promote tourism development. In particular, strengthening the preservation of core and unique cultural resource values of the province; prioritizing the development of products based on the strength of exploiting the depth of spiritual cultural values, taking the Tam Chuc scenic complex as the center to connect with other cultural and spiritual tourist destinations. In order to diversify tourism products and enhance the experience for visitors, Tam Chuc Tourist Area has recently launched a tour to watch the sunset on Luc Nhac Lake, enjoy afternoon tea and Tam Chuc night tour. In addition to the sunset tour and Tam Chuc night tour, tourists can also experience tea meditation and bell meditation tours in the sunset right in the main hall. Anticipating the trend of experiential and meditation tourism, Tam Chuc Tourist Area has built a camping area outside the bell tower, suitable for young people. But in order for Tam Chuc Tourist Area to further promote its tourism strengths, it is necessary to build cultural spaces imbued with Buddhist influences with quality services, such as: health care services using medicinal herbs and traditional therapies, experiencing meditation, yoga; organizing folk song, folk dance, and folk game performances. Together with Tam Chuc Pagoda complex, build a "Temple Life Experience Stay Program" to bring visitors the experience of daily life of monks in ancient pagodas, containing the history of Buddhism in Ha Nam, with some main programs: Temple Stay for relaxation, Temple Stay for experience, Temple Stay for practice.
Some opinions focus on developing the homestay community tourism model associated with rural cultural experiences, rural landscapes and agricultural production. In the province, there are currently a number of areas with potential for developing this tourism model that need to be researched, invested and developed such as: a number of villages and residential groups in Kha Phong commune, Ba Sao town (Kim Bang); Hoa Hau commune (Ly Nhan); Tien Son commune (Duy Tien town); Trung Luong commune (Binh Luc); Thanh Ha commune (Thanh Liem)...

In addition, exploiting diverse cultural and historical values from museums, relic sites, traditional festivals; in which, focusing on exploiting and promoting cultural values to diversify tourism products and services in the space of Tich Dien Festival; folk games, performances, folk performing arts, traditional craft villages associated with the life and culture of indigenous communities; innovating the way of experiencing, while increasing the content, meaningful messages and education through these experiences. At the same time, organizing annual cultural - tourism events of the province, creating highlights to promote tourism and attract tourists; Applying modern science and technology to preserve and promote the value of cultural resources for tourism development, such as: developing a QR code scanning system to look up information at relic sites, building an automatic explanation system, building applications and online platforms to promote Ha Nam cultural heritage with full details about relics, festivals, craft villages, cuisine, ... and cultural tourism products. According to opinions shared at the conference, this will attract the attention of tourists and enhance the recognition of Ha Nam culture.
Giving advice for Ha Nam tourism to take off, Vice President of the Unesco Hanoi Travel Club Nguyen Tuan Anh stated: To attract tourists, especially international tourists to Ha Nam, the tourism industry needs to step up upgrading infrastructure, such as hotels, restaurants and related services. To do this, Ha Nam province needs to have more mechanisms and policies on infrastructure, construction area, thereby attracting investment capital for the tourism industry... Agreeing with this opinion, Director of VietSense Travel Company Nguyen Van Tai said: Ha Nam tourism needs to promote connections with provinces and cities in the Northern Delta region; in which, focusing on connecting with Hanoi to build common tours and tourist routes suitable for each specific tourist flow... thereby, creating opportunities for Ha Nam tourism to exchange tourists with Hanoi and other localities.
Regarding the above proposals and suggestions, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy said: In the coming time, Ha Nam will continue to build transport infrastructure, increase investment resources to renovate spiritual works, form and develop high-quality agricultural and craft village tourism. At the same time, continuously improve the investment and business environment and enhance competitiveness, especially build policies and mechanisms to encourage businesses and people to invest in tourism development, new tourism products, with the characteristics of Ha Nam tourism; invite investors to build high-class accommodation areas, high-quality sports to attract domestic and foreign tourists. In addition, support, connect and encourage organizations and individuals to train and develop tourism human resources in the province; organize market research, collect information and trends of tourists; build tourism promotion and advertising programs suitable for each stage and target group, especially international tourist markets; Promote digital transformation, apply science and technology in management, promotion and development of tourism sector.
With the highest political determination of the government and people of Ha Nam province, Ha Nam tourism will be an attractive investment destination for businesses and tourism investors, and an ideal destination for a large number of tourists in the near future.
